Trak Suits: From Railway to Runway
Amtrak partnered with the New York School of Design for a fashion contest, challenging students to create "Trak Suits" inspired by the new Acela fleet, which culminated in a runway show and the launch of a limited-edition ready-to-wear collection.

Challenge
With Retrain Travel at our core, we needed to launch Amtrak’s new, premium NextGen Acela fleet and convince modern travelers that train travel is the most comfortable and stylish transportation option.
Insight
Both the NextGen Acela train and the classic tracksuit share the core qualities of being comfortable, convenient, and capable of being reimagined as a timelessly fresh and modern design staple.
